The Voices Against Us: perché è importante?
Quando ho avviato questa iniziativa, ero consapevole che molte celebrità si oppongono all'esistenza stessa dello Stato di Israele, alcune addirittura nutrono odio verso gli ebrei. Tuttavia, solo quando ho approfondito la questione ho capito veramente la portata del problema. Il numero di celebrità, organizzazioni e persino paesi che ci disprezzano semplicemente per il fatto di esistere è sbalorditivo. Questa consapevolezza ha chiarito che una risposta forte non è solo importante, è essenziale.
No, non credo di poter cambiare il mondo intero. Ma se riesco a far cambiare idea anche a poche persone e convincerle a smettere di sostenere celebrità che promuovono all'infinito contenuti pro-palestinesi mentre Israele combatte per la sua sopravvivenza, saprò di aver fatto la mia parte. È inconcepibile che noi, in quanto individui istruiti con opinioni indipendenti, continuiamo a sostenere personaggi pubblici che esprimono sfacciatamente il loro desiderio di vedere Israele cancellato dalla mappa.
Ho passato ore a rivedere innumerevoli immagini e video di queste celebrità che, insieme ai leader mondiali, colgono ogni opportunità per condannare e denigrare Israele e gli ebrei in particolare. L'odio nei loro occhi è palpabile: acceca il loro giudizio e annebbia il loro intelletto. La radice del problema risiede in queste figure influenti, che plasmano l'opinione pubblica, influenzano le politiche governative ed esercitano un immenso potere su interi pubblici, ignorando una verità fondamentale: il 7 ottobre, Israele ha dovuto affrontare una minaccia esistenziale. Quell'orribile attacco terroristico ha solo incoraggiato questi nemici, portandoli in piazza e sui social media a scandire a gran voce e senza scuse slogan come "Liberate la Palestina". Ma non riescono a riconoscere il vero significato di questo slogan: la distruzione di Israele e del popolo ebraico. Per aggiungere la beffa al danno, alcune di queste stesse celebrità e leader mondiali ora chiedono un cessate il fuoco. Ma come può esserci un cessate il fuoco quando l'altra parte dichiara apertamente la sua intenzione di distruggerci? Che tipo di pace si può fare con coloro che sono cresciuti fin dalla nascita per odiarci? E, naturalmente, queste celebrità non hanno pronunciato una sola parola sugli ostaggi israeliani tenuti da Hamas, che subiscono torture quotidiane, abusi fisici e mentali e persino stupri.
Cosa si può fare?
Potresti chiederti: cosa possiamo fare? La risposta è: molto.
L'elenco seguente non è solo un suggerimento, è un invito all'azione. Insieme, possiamo prendere una posizione più forte:
• Smettere di supportare cantanti e artisti che esprimono apertamente o sottilmente odio nei nostri confronti.
• Boicottare film e registi che supportano azioni contro lo Stato di Israele.
• Evitare di viaggiare o fare affari con paesi che desiderano la nostra caduta.
• Smettere di seguire influencer e celebrità che condividono slogan come "Liberate la Palestina". Ciò può ridurre la loro popolarità e influenza.

Insieme, possiamo creare un cambiamento. Ogni piccola azione contribuisce alla lotta per un futuro sicuro e giusto per Israele.
